Confused about what plate tectonics is about? Stumped by certain exam / test questions from the topic of plate tectonics? Fret not! This workshop will map out the entire chapter of plate tectonics and show you how in 9 simple parts, you can master the content required for O levels / N levels. The workshop is centered on a master-mindmapping activity which sorts out all the content needed of the chapter. The workshop will also teach you how to better answer the 8m LORMs question for plate tectonics.
Module #2: Geography Topical Revision on Weather & Climate (2 hrs)
- Suitable for Sec 3, 4 and 5 Geography Pure/Elective Students
Weather and Climate is often touted to be the most challenging chapter for geography because most students find it abstract and content-heavy. Don’t let this chapter be the reason why you can’t do well for geography. Come to this workshop and have the content sorted and figured out through a master-mindmapping activity. About the Teacher

- Double Degree with Honours for Geography (specialisation in Medical Geography) conferred by National University of Singapore (NUS) and University of North Carolina (UNC; Public Ivy League University in USA)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Education, NIE
- More than 6 years of teaching experience in MOE schools
Mr Alvin Tan was a subject head for humanities and have managed the geography curriculum and programs for many secondary schools. He believes that doing well in humanities goes beyond route learning and memorization and teaches in a fashion that makes geography fun, applicable to daily life and easily understood. His lessons are always accompanied by comprehensive notes that goes beyond the textbook to give his students the edge over others in national exams. Under his guidance, batches of students have graduated with distinction for their humanities and pure geography. In 2018, Mr Alvin was also awarded the Caring Teacher Award organised by NIE.
