Many students love math when they were in Primary School. However, most lost this love once they are in Secondary School. From our experience in conducting lower secondary math tuition for students, we realised that generally, they do not hate math.

They just do not like Algebra.

We found out that students who are not doing well in lower secondary math is due to a weak foundation and lack of understanding of Algebra. But like it or not, the road ahead in secondary school math is going to be tougher if students do not have a strong foundation in Algebra.

Fact: 95% of the entire secondary math syllabus uses Algebra.

Hence, we want to re-introduce Algebra and re-ignite the joy of problem solving in every students.  We are conducting a 2-day Algebra workshop for lower secondary students to strengthen their algebra foundation to prepare them for higher level of mathematics in school next year. 

At BrainMatter, our method of teaching is more than just Drill and Practice. We believe that when students’ interest is sparked off, they are capable of solving challenging questions that are posed to them.

Hence, we always use fun and creative methods in our teaching. Alongside, we will help to refine the presentation and working steps of the students because we know that clear presentations of answers can help guide students to get the right answers.

In our 2 days workshop, students are going to

• Learn how to strengthen their thinking process to overcome every algebra question easily
• Refine their way of writing and presenting their answers that will secure them the crucial marks
• Eliminate careless mistakes that cost them them the important mark for the next grade
• Learn the right techniques to tackle every type of algebra question tested in exam papers

This workshop is for 

Secondary 1 & 2 students who are struggling with Algebra in school and want to strengthen the basic foundation of Algebra to prepare for the next level of mathematics in school next year .

Dates: 11th – 12th December 2014 (Thurs & Fri)

Duration: 9am to 12pm (3 hours each session)

Course Fees: $200 only (inclusive of all learning materials)
